Fragments has been creating fashion trends for over 30 years. Established in 1984, the first boutique opened in New York City. The workshop represented a small group of unique designers who specialized in handcrafted, one of a kind, statement pieces for which Fragments coined the term “fashion jewelry.” The philosophy was to discover and promote talent, encourage creativity and bring the best to market. The brand quickly expanded to a second NY location on Madison Avenue, with a third that opened in the heart of LA’s fashion district. The clientele began to grow faster than imagined, creating a lot of buzz and soon everyone wanted to wear jewelry from the well recognized Fragments brand.

The boutique became a regular place for celebrity spotting. The many fans included Brittany Spears, Jennifer Lawrence and Taylor Swift just to name a few. The jewelry was soon sold at prestigious department stores, namely Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Barney’s New York. The showroom quickly became the place to find the latest collections by the industry’s most talented designers. Fragments showcased jewelry from the brightest stars in the industry, including Chan Luu, Ippolita and Alexis Bittar. Fragments stopped following the fashion trends and started to create them.
